Yograj Singh Career Journey

The career of Yograj Singh has been sports, cinema and coaching.
He began as an Indian right-arm fast-median bowler in 1980 -1981. He had played 1 Test match and 6 ODIs in his international career in which he had 1 Test wicket and 4 ODI wickets. Sadly enough, his career was shortened by repeated injuries.
He later ventured into acting after retiring in the first half of the 1980s and was hugely successful in Punjabi movies including Batwara, Anakh Jattan Dee and Jatt Te Zameen. He has also featured in Bollywood films such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Singh Is Bliing and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
He went on to be a respected coach in cricket and later established the Yograj Singh Cricket Academy in Chandigarh where he trains young players on issues of fitness, discipline and mental toughness.
He has also tried politics, he challenged the 2009 Haryana Assembly Elections representing Panchkula on the INLD party, and lost in the second position.
